Comments

These events begin before the pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the Passover festival on Monday, March 24, AD 31, and continue after the return from Jerusalem. The year AD 31 will be devoted mainly to evangelising Galilee.

Jesus the Messiah has decided to visit the various towns and villages in the region to proclaim his message there. At this point, the disciples simply follow and help. We notice that whenever the Teacher is absent, they are at a loss.

Spring makes travelling and camping out under the stars at night easier.

The pattern seems similar each time: on the , they enter the , where all the inhabitants are gathered. The local religious leaders offer Jesus the Messiah the opportunity to read a text from the and comment on it.

Listeners, surprised by Jesus the Messiah's evident authority, flock from the surrounding regions. They are struck by the miracles they see with their own eyes. They appreciate and love this new Preacher.

His message does not challenge the law of Moses, so the religious authorities open the doors of their synagogues wide to him. Nor have they ever seen so many people attend the service.

Jesus the Messiah remains in Galilee, but people come flocking from far away, according to Matthew.

We are at the dawn of a revolution in people's thinking rather than in society. Everyone wonders: who is this man?

The wonders performed by the Teacher clearly attract a large crowd of curious onlookers, so that people often come more to watch a spectacle than to hear a message.
